Cuando el director crecía en Tánger, una foto del rey Mohammed V, también conocido como el “rey luna”, presidía su hogar. No conocía la legendaria llegada al poder del Rey hasta que empezó a ir al colegio.

When the director was growing up in Tangier, a photo of King Mohammed V, also known to Moroccans as the “moon king”, presided over the home. It was only when he went to school that he learned the legendary story of the king’s rise to power.

Durant l’enfance passée du réalisateur à Tanger, une photo du roi Mohammed V, connu des Marocains sous le nom de « roi lune », trônait dans la maison. Ce n’est que quand il a commencé à aller à l’école qu’il a appris l’histoire légendaire de son accession au pouvoir.
