SINOPSIS

Cada año, 900.000 personas son víctimas del tráfico de seres humanos con un solo fin: la explotación sexual. Sin embargo, a pesar de la violencia y de los peligros, algunas jóvenes brasileñas siguen creyendo que tienen la posibilidad de cambiar de vida y encontrar al príncipe azul a través del turismo sexual. Solo una ínfima minoría encuentra a su media naranja y se casa. La película nos lleva hasta el noreste brasileño para intentar entender el imaginario sexual, racial y de poder de las jóvenes cenicientas del sur y de los lobos llegados del norte.

Chaque année, 900 000 personnes sont victimes du trafic humain avec un unique but : l’exploitation sexuelle. Pourtant, malgré la violence et les dangers, de jeunes Brésiliennes continuent à croire à la possibilité de changer de vie et de trouver leur prince charmant en se plongeant dans le tourisme sexuel. Seule une petite minorité réussit à trouver l’âme-sœur et à se marier. Le film voyage du Nordeste brésilien jusqu’à Berlin, pour tenter de comprendre l’imaginaire sexuel, racial et de pouvoir de ces jeunes Cendrillons du sud et de ces loups venus du nord.

900.000 people are trafficked through international borders every year with a single purpose: sexual exploitation. However, even with all the struggles and dangers, young Brazilian women still believe in the possibility of changing their lives and finding their enchanted prince as they are submerged into the work of sexual tourism. Only a tiny minority ever manages to find a soul mate and get married. The film journeys from the Northeast of Brazil to Berlin seeking to understand the sexual, racial, and power imaginary of the young Cinderellas from the south and the wolves from the north.
