“Coffea Arábiga” es un corto didáctico acerca del cultivo del café con motivo del gigantesco plan de siembra y fomento del grano en las inmediaciones de la capital cubana, el cual ocupaba a miles de personas en un laboreo frenético. Pero es también un verdadero pastiche de propaganda política, literatura científica, fotoanimaciones, empalmes sonoros desquiciados e imaginativos, donde el intertitulado juega un papel irónico y desgarrado a la vez.

Coffea Arábiga est un court métrage didactique sur la culture du café, réalisé suite au gigantesque plan de semailles et de développement de la culture du café dans les environs immédiats de la capitale cubaine, programme qui occupait des milliers de personnes avec une énergie frénétique. Mais il s’agit également d’un véritable pastiche de propagande politique, de littérature scientifique, de montage photos, de collages sonores déjantés et créatifs, dans lequel les intertitres jouent un rôle ironique et provocateur.

Arabian Coffee is a didactic short feature about culturing coffee on the occasion of the gigantic sowing and grain boosting plan that was carried out on the outskirts of the Cuban capital, a program that kept thousands of people frenetically busy. However, is also a true pastiche of political propaganda, scientific literature, photomontages and imaginative and crazy sound splices, in which the inter titles play an ironic and wrenching role.
