SINOPSIS

Cuerpo y alma cuenta la historia de Victoria, Mariana y Vasco, tres jóvenes mozambiqueños disminuidos físicos que viven en los extrarradios de Maputo. En su vida diaria deben enfrentarse a un sinfín de obstáculos físicos, fisiológicos y emocionales que solucionan cada uno a su manera mediante el trabajo, actividades o con su actitud. La película explora la forma en que ven a los demás y a sí mismos. Plantea cuestiones universales acerca de la aceptación de uno mismo y del sitio que se busca en la sociedad.

Corps et âme raconte l’histoire de Victoria, Mariana et Vasco, trois jeunes mozambicains, handicapés physiques, vivant dans la banlieue de Maputo. Leur vie quotidienne est marquée par de nombreux défis à la fois physiques, physiologiques et émotionnels, que chacun relève à sa manière, par son travail, par ses activités ou par son attitude. Le film explore ainsi le regard qu’ils portent sur eux-mêmes et sur les autres. Il aborde des questions universelles sur l’acceptation de soi et sur comment trouver sa place dans la société.

Body and Soul tells the story of Victoria, Mariana and Vasco, three physically disabled young Mozambicans that live on the outskirts of Maputo. On a daily basis, they must face an endless list of physical, physiological and emotional obstacles that they each find a solution to in their own way by means of work, other activities and their attitude. The film explores the way they see other people and themselves. It poses such universal questions such as accepting oneself and how to find one’s place in society.
