Estudiante de poesía sufí y danza oriental en El Cairo, Dunia aspira a ser bailarina profesional y a encontrarse consigo misma. Durante un concurso, conoce al seductor Dr. Beshir, ilustre pensador sufí y hombre de letras. Con él, probará el placer de la palabra en su búsqueda del éxtasis a través de la poesía sufí, y descubrirá, en sus brazos, el placer de los sentidos. Sin embargo, deberá enfrentarse a la tradición, que destrozó su capacidad de sentir placer, para poder liberar su cuerpo y bailar con el alma.

Étudiante en poésie soufie et danse orientale au Caire, Dunia est à la recherche d’elle-même et aspire à devenir danseuse professionnelle. Lors d’un concours, elle rencontre le séduisant Dr. Beshir, illustre penseur soufi et homme de lettres. Elle goûtera avec lui au plaisir des mots dans ses recherches sur l’extase dans la poésie soufie et découvrira, dans ses bras, le plaisir des sens. Mais il lui faudra affronter la tradition, qui a détruit sa capacité de sentir du plaisir, pour pouvoir libérer son corps et danser avec son âme.

ENGLISH

Student of Sufi poetry and belly dance in Cairo, Dunia is looking for herself and wishes to become a professional dancer. During a casting for a dance contest, she meets the illustrious and charming Dr Bechir, a Sufi thinker and writer. With him, Dunia will discover not only the pleasure of words through Sufi poetry, but also the pleasure of the senses. However, she will have to confront tradition, which destroyed her capacity to feel pleasure, in order to free her body and dance with her soul.
