SINOPSIS

Daniel, un niño etíope de 10 años, vaga a solas, de noche, por las calles de Addis Abeba. Es uno de los 170.000 niños sin familia que circulan por la ciudad. Daniel se acaba de fugar de su casa, en el campo, donde vivía con su madrastra. Sus padres biológicos están muertos: al padre no lo llegó a conocer; la madre murió atropellada delante suyo. En su deriva nocturna, Daniel encuentra a un grupo de niños de la calle que viven dentro de un viejo taxi abandonado. Les pide si puede dormir con ellos.

Daniel, un enfant éthiopien de 10 ans, erre seul, de nuit, dans les rues d’Addis Abeba. Il est l’un des 170 000 enfants sans famille qui vivent dans la ville. Daniel vient de fuir de chez lui, à la campagne, où il vivait avec sa mère adoptive. Ses parents biologiques sont morts : il n’a jamais connu son père et sa mère est décédée sous ses yeux, renversée par une voiture. Au cours de son errance nocturne, il rencontre un groupe d’enfants des rues qui vivent dans un taxi abandonné. Il leur demande s’il peut dormir avec eux.

Daniel, a 10-year-old Ethiopian boy, roams the streets of Addis Ababa alone by night. He is one of the 170.000 children without family who live in the city. He has just escaped from his home in the countryside where he lived with his stepmother. His biological parents are dead: he never knew his father; his mother died in front of his eyes when she was run over by a car. During his nocturnal rambling, Daniel meets a group of street children who live in an old abandoned taxi. He asks them if he can sleep there.
