SINOPSIS

Youssef, Ibrahim y Fadi han estado 20 años juntos en la misma cárcel. Acaban de soltar a Youssef para que encuentre documentos confidenciales. Después de 20 años, Ibrahim quiere volver a ver a su hija, que ensaya con el músico Fady, el tercer preso. Además de estos tres hombres, en Hawi también conoceremos a un viejo jinete que quiere curar a su amado caballo y a un presentador de televisión que necesita un invitado para su programa. Todos buscan algo o a alguien en este retrato caleidoscópico de la soledad y la desesperación en el Egipto actual.

Youssef, Ibrahim et Fady ont passé 20 ans dans la même prison. Youssef vient d’être relâché afin de trouver divers documents confidentiels. Après 20 ans d’enfermement, Ibrahim veut revoir sa fille. Celle-ci s’entraîne avec le troisième homme, le musicien Fady. À part ces trois hommes, dans Le Jongleur, on rencontre un vieux cavalier cherchant à soigner son animal adoré et un présentateur télé qui a besoin d’un invité pour son émission. Tous, dans ce portrait kaléidoscopique de la solitude et du désespoir dans l’Égypte actuelle, sont en quête de quelqu’un ou de quelque chose.

Youssef, Ibrahim and Fady spent 20 years in the same prison. Youssef has just been released in order to find several confidential documents. After 20 years, Ibrahim wants to see his daughter again. She is rehearsing with the third man, Fady, the musician. Apart from these three men, in The Juggler, we will aslo meet an old horseman who hopes to heal his beloved animal and a TV presenter who needs a guest for his show. They are all looking for someone or something in this kaleidoscopic portrait of loneliness and despair in today’s Egypt.
