Entre 1946 y 1954 más de 60.000 soldados africanos fueron enviados a Extremo Oriente para luchar contra el Viet Minh. Hubo uniones entre mujeres vietnamitas y soldados africanos de las que nacieron niños. Algunos se quedaron con sus madres, pero otros fueron llevados a África. A partir de la historia de Christophe, un afro-asiático de 58 años, Idrissou Mora-Kpai no solo cuenta la trayectoria de estos niños mestizos, sino la lucha contra natura en la que se oponían los africanos colonizados a los vietnamitas que luchaban por su independencia.

Entre 1946 et 1954, plus de 60 000 soldats d’Afrique furent engagés en Extrême-Orient contre le Viet Minh. Là-bas, des liens se créent entre des Vietnamiennes et des soldats africains. Des enfants naissent. Certains d’entre eux sont laissés à leur mère, d’autres sont emmenés en Afrique. À partir de l’histoire de Christophe, un Africasien de 58 ans, Idrissou Mora-Kpai raconte l’histoire de ces enfants métissés mais aussi les combats contre-nature qui opposaient Africains colonisés et Vietnamiens luttant pour leur indépendance.

Between 1946 and 1954, more than 60,000 African soldiers were sent to the Far East to fight against the Viet Minh. Many unions between Vietnamese women and African soldiers took place, and children were born, Some stayed with their mothers, but others were taken back to Africa. Through the story of Christophe, a 58 year old Afro-Asian, Idrissou Mora-Kpai not only tells the story of these children of mixed heritage, but also the unnatural fight in which colonized Africans stood against the Vietnamese who were fighting for their independence.
