SINOPSIS
Ngor y Coumba viven en un pequeño pueblo de la región de Serer, en Senegal. Considerado como el primer largometraje dirigido por una mujer negra africana, Kaddu Beykat cuenta su historia a través de una voz en off en forma de cartas escritas. Ngor lleva dos años queriendo casarse con Coumba, pero la cosecha de este año vuelve a ser mala. Las lluvias son demasiado irregulares para que crezcan los cacahuetes, el único cultivo comercial.
SYNOPSIS
Ngor and Coumba live in a small village in the Serer region of Senegal. Believed to be the first feature film directed by a black African woman, Kaddu Beykat tells their story through a voice-over in the form of written letters. Ngor has wanted to marry Coumba for two years, but this year’s harvest is again poor. The rains are too irregular for the groundnuts, the only cash crop, to grow.

Considéré comme le premier long métrage réalisé par une femme noire africaine, Kaddu Beykat raconte leur histoire à travers une voix off sous forme de lettres écrites. Ngor veut épouser Coumba depuis deux ans, mais cette année encore, la récolte est mauvaise. Les pluies sont trop irrégulières pour que les arachides, seule culture de rente, puissent pousser.
