SINOPSIS

ESPAÑOL

Un Jueves Santo, a finales del siglo XVIII, un rico conde habanero, muy religioso, reúne a doce esclavos, les lava y besa los pies antes de invitarles a cenar. Durante la cena conversa con ellos e intenta justificar la explotación a la que son sometidos, invocando los valores de humildad y resignación predicados por la fe católica.

ENGLISH

One Holy Thursday towards the end of the 18th century, a pious and rich plantation owner in Havana gathers twelve of his slaves, washes and kisses their feet. He then invites them to supper. During the meal, he speaks with them and tries to justify the exploitation they are submitted to by appealing to the principles of humility and resignation preached by the Catholic Church.
