SINOPSIS  

Jean-René es un antiguo obrero, hoy jubilado. Vive en Francia, en Mâcon, desde que emigró de su isla de La Reunión, cuando tenía diecisiete años. Por primera vez, frente a la cámara de su hija, rompe el silencia y cuenta su historia. Su relato narra sus sueños y dolores misteriosos, que encuentran sus raíces en las heridas de la historia colonial francesa.

SYNOPSIS

Jean-René is a retired workman who has lived in Mâcon, France, since emigrating from Reunion Island at the age of 17. In front of his daughter’s camera, the quiet man recounts his story for the first time ever. His journey is interspersed with enigmatic dreams and pains that are rooted in the wounds of the French colonial past. 

SYNOPSIS

Jean-René est un ancien ouvrier aujourd’hui à la retraite. Il vit en France, à Mâcon, depuis qu’il a émigré de l’île de La Réunion à l’âge de dix-sept ans. Aujourd’hui, pour la première fois, il brise un silence et raconte à sa fille son histoire devant la caméra. Son récit nous dévoile d’étranges rêves et douleurs qui trouvent leurs racines dans les blessures de l’histoire coloniale française.
