Una caravana acompaña a un anciano y moribundo Sheikh a Sijilmasa. Su última voluntad es ser enterrado junto a los suyos, pero la muerte le alcanza en medio del Atlas marroquí. Los caravaneros, temerosos de la montaña, se niegan a seguir transportando el cadáver. Ahmed y Said, dos buscavidas que viajan con ellos, se ofrecen a llevar el cuerpo hasta Sijilmasa. En otro mundo, paralelo y remoto, Shakib es escogido para viajar hasta las monta ñas. Su cometido es claro: tiene que ayudar a los improvisados caravaneros a llegar a su destino. Shakib también duda, es su primera misión.

A caravan escorts an elderly and dying Sheikh through the Moroccan Atlas. His last wish is to be buried with his loved ones, but death will not wait and strikes in the middle of the Atlas. The caravan drivers, fearful of the mountain pass, refuse to continue transporting the corpse. Ahmed and Said, two rogues traveling with the caravan, promise to take the body to its destiny, Sijilmasa. In another world, parallel and remote, Shakib is chosen to travel to the mountains where the caravan is. His assignment is clear: he has to help the called caravan drivers reach their destination. Shakib also has his misgivings, this is his first mission.

Une caravane accompagne un vieux Cheikh mourant à Sijilmasa. Sa dernière volonté est d’être enterré avec les siens, mais la mort le rattrape au milieu de l’Atlas marocain. Les caravaniers, que la montagne effraye, refusent de continuer à transporter un cadavre. Ahmed et Saïd, deux lascars qui voyagent avec eux, se proposent d’amener le corps à Sijilmasa. Dans un autre monde, parallèle et lointain, Shakib est choisi pour voyager jusqu’à la montage. Son devoir est clair : il doit aider les prétendus caravaniers pour qu’ils arrivent à destination. Shakib lui aussi a des doutes, c’est sa première mission.
