En los hogares de la burguesía tunecina se hace todo lo posible para ocultar cualquier acontecimiento dramático. Así, cuando una chica regresa a casa con la cara ensangrentada después de una agresión, la madre y el hermano se afanan en ayudarla y también en hacerle sentir culpable. Su padre no sabe nada. Pero el dolor y la compasión obligarán a la madre a defender a su hija.

ENGLISH

In the homes of the Tunisian bourgeoisie when a dramatic event occurs, everything is done to hide it. A girl comes home with her face covered in blood, she has been attacked. Her mother and brother help her but at the same time make her feel guilty. Her father is kept in the dark. Grief and pity will lead the mother once and for all to take her daughter’s side.

Quand un événement dramatique a lieu dans les foyers de la bourgeoisie tunisienne, on fait tout pour le cacher. Une jeune fille revient à la maison avec le visage ensanglanté, elle a été attaquée. La mère et le frère l’aident tout en la culpabilisant. Le père ne sait rien. Pourtant la douleur et la compassion forceront la mère à défendre sa fille.
