SINOPSIS
ESPAÑOL
Desde hace demasiado tiempo, una extraña niebla cubre un pueblo de pescadores. En este ambiente propicio a exagerar los miedos y las supersticiones, Yatma y Mbanick, dos amigos de infancia, compiten para seducir a Maxoye. Mbanick, hijo de un morabito, desafía a los espíritus y logra hacer desaparecer la niebla. El pueblo entero le honra y revive bajo el sol que por fin ha regresado. Los pescadores vuelven al mar, el mercado retoma sus colores. Maxoye y Mbanick hacen pública su relación. Pero Yatma no acepta la nueva popularidad de Mbanick.

Depuis trop longtemps, un étrange brouillard recouvre un village de pêcheurs. Dans ce cadre propice à l’exagération des peurs et des superstitions, deux amis d’enfance, Yatma et Mbanick, rivalisent pour séduire Maxoye. Mbanick, fils de marabout, ose seul défier les esprits et parvient à faire disparaître le brouillard. Le village entier lui fait fête et reprend vie sous le soleil enfin de retour. Les pêcheurs repartent en mer, le marché reprend ses couleurs. Maxoye et Mbanick peuvent dévoiler leur liaison aux yeux de tous. Mais Yatma n’accepte pas la nouvelle popularité de Mbanick.
ENGLISH
For too long, a strange mist has covered a fishing village. In this atmosphere, favorable to enhancing fear and superstitions, Yatma and Mbanick, two childhood friends, compete to seduce Maxoye. Mbanick, the son of a marabout, challenges the spirits and manages to make the mist disappear. The entire village honors him; the inhabitants revive under the sun’s warm rays. The fishermen return to the sea, the market recovers its colors. Maxoye and Mbanick make their relationship public. However, Yatma does not accept Mbanick’s newfound popularity.
