SINOPSIS
Koumbi, capital del Imperio Sonninké de Ghana, se encuentra sacudida por la miseria. Para devolver la prosperidad a la ciudad, el emperador decide seguir el consejo de los “siete sacerdotes” y sacrificar a la mujer más bella del poblado, Sia, al terrible Dios Pitón. Sia, sin embargo, es la prometida de Mamadi, un joven y valiente soldado, sobrino del jefe del ejército. Toda una serie de conflictos políticos y morales se desencadenarán cuando Sia decida huir y enfrentarse a su destino.
SYNOPSIS
Koumbi, capital of the Sonninké Empire of Ghana, is shaken by misery. To bring back prosperity to the city, the emperor decides to follow the advice of the “seven priests” and sacrifice the most beautiful woman in the village, Sia, to the terrible Python God. Sia, however, is the betrothed of Mamadi, a brave young fighter, nephew of the army chief. A whole series of political and moral conflicts will be triggered when Sia decides to run away and face her destiny.

Koumbi, capitale de l’Empire Sonninké du Ghana, est frappée par la misère. Pour y ramener la prospérité, l’empereur décide de suivre le conseil des « sept prêtres » et de sacrifier la plus belle femme de la ville, Sia, au terrible Dieu Python. Mais Sia est promise de Mamadi, un jeune et courageux soldat, neveu du chef de l’Armée. Une série de conflits politiques et moraux éclatent quand Sia décide de fuir et de faire face à son destin.
