Durante su visita a Abiyán, el artista Jean-Michel Basquiat se enfrenta a demonios, fantasmas, dudas y a su propia muerte. Jean-Michel Basquiat falleció el 12 de agosto de 1988, pero su memoria sigue muy viva. Esta película le rinde homenaje contando su desconocido viaje a Costa de Marfil. Llegó a Abiyán en un momento de gran cansancio en el que le perseguían sus fantasmas. Había puesto muchas esperanzas en su primer encuentro con África.

During a visit to Abidjan, artist Jean-Michel Basquiat comes face to face with demons, ghosts, doubt – and his own death. On 12th August 1988, Jean-Michel Basquiat passed away. Nevertheless, his memory remains very much alive. This film pays homage to him telling the unknown story of his trip to the Ivory Coast. Basquiat arrived in Abidjan at a time when he was exhausted and haunted by his ghosts. All his hope lay in this first encounter with Africa.
