SINOPSIS

ESPAÑOL:

Youcef ingresó en un hospital psiquiátrico al final de la Guerra de Independencia. Para él, el tiempo se detuvo en 1960 y está convencido de que sigue siendo prisionero del ejército francés. Consigue escaparse, y después de atravesar el desierto, descubre con terror la Argelia actual. Sus hermanos del FLN han caído en la corrupción o en el integrismo religioso. Entonces, Youcef decide hacer su revolución.

ENGLISH:

At the end of the War of Independence, Youcef is interned in a psychiatric hospital. As far as he is concerned, time stopped in 1960 and he believes he is still a prisoner of the French Army. He manages to escape and, after a long trek through the desert, terrified, he discovers contemporary Algiers. His brothers-in-arms from the FLN (National Liberation Front) have fallen prey to corruption or religious fundamentalism. Youcef decides to carry out his own revolution.

A la fin de la guerre d’indépendance, Youcef a été interné dans un asile psychiatrique. Pour lui, le temps s’est arrêté en 1960 et il se croit toujours prisonnier de l’armée française. Il finit par s’évader et après une longue traversée du désert, il découvre terrifié l’Algérie contemporaine. Ses frères du FLN (Front de libération national) ont sombré dans la corruption ou dans l’intégrisme religieux. Youcef va dès lors se mettre en tête de faire sa propre révolution.
