SINOPSIS
En Four Women, una de las primeras películas experimentales dirigidas por una mujer negra, la bailarina Linda Martina Young interpreta la balada homónima de Nina Simone y encarna los espíritus de cuatro mujeres – la fuerte «Tía Sarah», la trágica mulata “Saffronia”, la sensual «Sweet Thing» y la militante “Peaches”- que representan los estereotipos comunes de las mujeres negras que intentan sobrevivir.
SYNOPSIS
In Four Women, one of the first experimental films directed by a black woman, dancer Linda Martina Young performs Nina Simone’s ballad of the same name and embodies the spirits of four women – the strong ‘Aunt Sarah’, the tragic mulatto ‘Saffronia’, the sensual ‘Sweet Thing’ and the militant ‘Peaches’ – who represent the common stereotypes of black women trying to survive.
