SINOPSIS
Suzanne, Suzanne describe la lucha de una joven negra por enfrentarse al legado de un padre violento y su huida precipitada hacia el consumo de drogas. Suzanne, tras años de abusos físicos y psicológicos, llega a entender que la violencia de su padre y la complicidad pasiva de su madre, que también sufrió las agresiones de su marido, son el origen de su propia autodestrucción. Tras años de silencio, Suzanne y su madre son por fin capaces de compartir sus dolorosas experiencias.
SYNOPSIS
Suzanne, Suzanne profiles a young black woman’s struggle to confront the legacy of a physically abusive father and her headlong flight into drug abuse. Suzanne, after years of physical and psychological abuse, is compelled to understand her father’s violence and her mother’s passive complicity, who suffered at her husband’s hands as well, as the keys to her own self-destruction. After years of silence, Suzanne and her mother are finally able to share their painful experiences with each other.
SYNOPSIS
Suzanne, Suzanne dresse le portrait d’une jeune femme noire qui doit faire face à l’héritage d’un père violent et à sa fuite en avant dans la toxicomanie. Après des années d’abus physiques et psychologiques, Suzanne est amenée à comprendre que la violence de son père et la complicité passive de sa mère, qui a également subi les agressions de son mari, sont à l’origine de sa propre autodestruction. Après des années de silence, Suzanne et sa mère sont enfin en mesure de partager leurs expériences douloureuses l’une avec l’autre.
