Título: The Mercy of the Jungle | La compasión de la selva
SINOPSIS
El sargento Xavier, agotado por la guerra, y el joven recluta Faustin se separan accidentalmente de su batallón ruandés al salir para realizar una redada nocturna en pleno territorio congoleño. Se enfrentan a la falta de agua, de comida, a la malaria y a los peligros de la selva. Los dos intentan reunirse con sus compañeros yendo hacia el Oeste, pero deben tener cuidado con la población local, debido a la antipatía que los congoleños sienten por el ejército ruandés, y con la presencia de facciones rebeldes.
SYNOPSIS
War-weary Sergeant Xavier and fresh recruit Private Faustin are accidentally separated from their Rwandan battalion inside Congolese territory after being called out suddenly on a nighttime raid. They face a lack of water, food, and threats from malaria and jungle wildlife. The two seek to reunite with the battalion by heading westward, but must remain wary of interacting with the local population given Congolese antipathy towards the Rwandan Army and the presence of rebel factions.
SYNOPSIS
Le sergent Xavier, épuisé par la guerre, et le soldat Faustin, une nouvelle recrue, sont accidentellement séparés de leur bataillon rwandais à l’intérieur du territoire congolais, lorsque celui-ci est soudainement appelé lors d’un raid nocturne. Ils sont alors confrontés au manque d’eau, de nourriture et aux menaces de la malaria et de la faune de la jungle. Ils cherchent à rejoindre le bataillon en se dirigeant vers l’ouest, mais doivent rester prudents face à la population locale, étant donné l’antipathie congolaise envers l’armée rwandaise et la présence de factions rebelles irrégulières.
