SINOPSIS
Argel. El coreógrafo Abou Lagraa, con la ayuda de Nawal Aït Benalla Lagraa, se encarga de formar a la primera generación de bailarines de danza contemporánea de Argelia. El proyecto, concebido como un puente cultural mediterráneo, está formado por diez jóvenes que dan vida a “Nya”. La película sigue el nacimiento de este grupo de danza compuesto mayormente por bailarines de hip hop autodidactas, hasta el estreno mundial del espectáculo en el Teatro Nacional de Argel.
SYNOPSIS
Algiers. Choreographer Abou Lagraa and Nawal Aït Benalla Lagraa conceived the first training of contemporary dance in Algeria as a bridge between Mediterranean cultures. Ten dancers were selected to give birth to Lagraa’s choreography Nya. Oh my Body! describes the structuring of this group of dancers, mostly composed of self-taught hip-hop street performers, until the evening of the world premiere at the National Theater of Algiers.
