Título: Timkat

SINOPSIS  

El “Timkat” es una celebración para conmemorar el bautismo de Cristo en el río Jordán para salvar a toda la humanidad. Los que no se bautizan cada año no podrán llegar al reino de los cielos. Por casualidad, el director Ico Costa llegó con su cámara Super 8 y otra película en mente a la ciudad de Gondar en el momento del Timkat y cuando se encontró rodeado de ese mar de gente, empezó a filmar.

SYNOPSIS  

“Timkat» is a celebration to commemorate Christ’s baptism in the Jordan River to save all mankind. Those who are not baptised every year will not be able to reach the kingdom of heaven. By chance, director Ico Costa arrived with his Super 8 camera having a different film in mind in the city of Gondar. At the time of Timkat and when he found himself surrounded by this sea of people, he started filming.

Le “Timkat” est une célébration qui commémore le baptême du Christ dans le Jourdan pour sauver l’humanité. Ceux qui ne sont pas baptisés chaque année ne pourront pas entrer dans le royaume des cieux. Le réalisateur Ico Costa est arrivé, par un heureux hasard, avec sa caméra Super 8 en ayant un projet de film en tête dans la ville de Gondar, au moment du Timkat. Quand il s’est retrouvé au milieu de cette foule, il a commencé à filmer.
