SINOPSIS

La cineasta Isabelle Boni-Claverie es negra, como lo son 3,3 millones de franceses. Creció en un ambiente privilegiado y no tiene ninguno de los límites sociales que podrían frenar su integración social. Sin embargo, a menudo es objeto de discriminación. ¿Le ha mentido la República? Una pregunta aclarada por los análisis de Eric Fassin, Pap Ndiaye, Achille Mbembe, Patrick Simon y Sylvie Chalaye, así como por otros testimonios anónimos en torno a las desigualdades en la sociedad francesa.

Filmmaker Isabelle Boni-Claverie is black as are 3.3 million French people. She grew up in a privileged environment, has none of the supposed social handicaps that could hinder social integration. And yet, she is often an object of discrimination. Has the Republic lied to her? A brazen question illuminated by the analysis of Eric Fassin, Pap Ndiaye, Achille Mbembe, Patrick Simon and Sylvie Chalaye, as well as anonymous witnesses, regarding the inequalities in French society.

Elle a grandi dans un milieu privilégié et ne présente aucun des handicaps sociaux supposés freiner son intégration. Pourtant, elle est victime de discriminations. La République lui aurait-elle menti ? Éclairé par les analyses d’Eric Fassin, Pap Ndiaye, Achille Mbembe, Patrick Simon et Sylvie Chalaye, ainsi que par les témoignages d’anonymes, le film propose une réflexion sur les inégalités de la société française.
