SINOPSIS
Jugando con la poesía que ofrecen las imágenes y el cine, Atteyat al-Abnoudy filma a artistas y acróbatas en las calles de El Cairo. Touha es la bailarina del vientre del grupo y sueña con trabajar en club nocturno y hacerse famosa. Viro, Bolbol, El-Gamal y Touha recogen las monedas de la gente en la calle y les devuelven unas sonrisas. La cineasta rinde un homenaje a los espectáculos callejeros, devolviendo sus letras de nobleza a un arte popular marginalizado y degradado.
SYNOPSIS
Playing with the poetry that offers image and cinema, Atteyat al-Abnoudy films performers and acrobats in the streets of Cairo. Touha is the belly dancer of the group and dreams of working one day in a nightclub and becoming famous. Viro, Bolbol, El-Gamal and Touha collect coins from the people on the streets and return a few smiles. The filmmaker pays homage to street performances, restoring their nobility to a marginalised and degraded popular art.

Jouant avec la poésie que lui offrent les images et le cinéma, Atteyat-Al-Abnoudy filme des artistes et des acrobates dans les rues du Caire. Touha est la danseuse de ventre de la troupe. Elle rêve de travailler dans une boîte de nuit et de devenir célèbre. Viro, Bolbol, El-Gamal et Touha font la quête dans la rue et remercient les gens et leur rendent quelques sourires. La cinéaste rend hommage aux spectacles de rue, redonnant ses lettres de noblesse à un art populaire marginalisé et dégradé.
