SINOPSIS

Ocho años después de salir de Argelia, su país natal, Lamine decide poner fin a su exilio el 6 de enero de 2011, día del estallido de las revueltas populares de Argel. Organizada cronológicamente, la película cuenta en primera persona las dificultades del director para encontrar su lugar, del mismo modo que lo hace Aimé Césaire en su libro Cahier d’un retour au pays natal, al que el cineasta rinde homenaje. Narrada en clave de comedia, el humor y la ironía sustituyen a la desesperación, convirtiendo este viaje en una oportunidad para revisar la historia reciente de Argelia en un momento en que podría tomar un nuevo rumbo.

SYNOPSIS

Eight years after having left Algeria, the country where he was born, Lamine decides to put an end to his exile on January 6, 2011, the very same day that the popular riots break out in Algiers. The film recounts in a chronological order and in the first person, the difficulties Lamine has to find his place, as in Aimé Césaire’s famous Cahier d’un retour au pays natal, to which the filmmaker pays homage. Told in a humorous key, irony replaces despair and this journey, more than a private matter, is really the opportunity to take a look at Algeria’s recent history at a time when the country could take a new direction.
